As an artist of nature, my work reveals a world that most have never seen, or in ways they have never seen it – a world that is brought to life by my unique coloration and composition, and my impressions. My aim is to capture the scenes that seduce my senses. My intent is to call forth in my paintings the colors and the shapes and the stories that captured my heart and imagination, and to make of them an offering to the viewer. I would wish the same delicious stimulation for all of those who grasp what I am after in my work.

What influences my work is what influences my heart. I look for the spirit of an otherwise voiceless place. I am influenced by artists who have put their hearts,

and not just their techniques, into their paintings. I am obsessed by the process of seeing a magical scene brought to life in pastels through my techniques.

My muse is nature itself – its ways revealed and hidden, its ever-changing light and dark, its saturated and muted colorings, its self-sufficiency, its capacity to delight and to provoke at the same time, and its transcendence of our lives.
