“I love to travel. I love to be home. Until recently, ‘home’ was an old mountain farm north of Asheville, NC that my husband and I bought in 1991 when we moved from Maryland. We built our dream house, and my studio, on the side of the mountain overlooking our own ‘holler’ and looking out at surrounding mountains. Whether I’m feeding a horse, exploring a mountain trail, enjoying a local festival, or traveling, I’m acutely aware of the world around me. With my paintings, I seek to bring to life the people and places that touch me.”

In addition to original pastels and watercolors, Kay offers archival quality giclee prints of all of her artwork.

Kay’s paintings have won many prestigious awards in local, state, national and international shows. Awards are listed with the individual paintings on her website.
