Supply List, APS Pastel Workshop with Addren Doss

 

Soft Pastels:

Bring what you currently use for landscapes in this area.  You will need a variety of soft and hard pastels.  The soft are the most important.

For the New Mexico landscape add several different values of:

Yellow Ocher

Oranges and Red/Oranges

Sage and blue Greens

Warm Violets

Warm Blues that lean towards Turquoise

Pastel Paper:

UArt 320 grit or 400 grit.  2 sheets size 8X10 or 8X6, your choice

Miscellaneous Supplies:

Drawing board to tape your pastel paper on to – foam core, gator board, wood

White artist tape

Small Sketch Book and 2B pencil or 3 grey markers in different values

Viva Paper towels

Alcohol & small container to put some in (tuna can)

Cheap 2″ bristle brush from Lowes or Home Depot, sometimes called a chip brush

Baby wipes to clean your hands

I will supply Glassine to cover your finished painting, rubber gloves if you want to wear them, and photographs to work from
